CREATIVE DIRECTOR
BAY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

POSITION DESCRIPTION 
The Creative Director provides strategic vision and leadership for the Creative Team, overseeing the Sunday morning experience, and providing leadership for and guidance over all church communication. 
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Creative Director is responsible for:
  • Leading the creative message development process; sitting in planning and discovery meetings to mine information and vision from the Lead Pastor and other ministry leaders that will help steer created content.
  • Overseeing all communications, including print graphics, website management, and social media, maintaining consistency of branding across all formats.
  • Leading the development of strategy for communicating to those inside and outside the church.
  • Collaborating in all phases of Sunday services and special event production, including all message development, media, graphic, and technical aspects from concept development through production.
  • Serving as a conduit between the ministries of the church and the creative team to allow vision, clarity, ideas and results to flow.
  • Staying current on emerging trends in ministry, marketing, technology and design.
  • Keeping the creative team continually engaged in producing excellent results with regular check-ins and reviews of works in progress to help continue to shape, affirm or re-direct a project’s direction.
  • Handling administration for the creative team including performing staff evaluations.
 JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • 3+ years’ experience in ministry management with graphic design, marketing and creative management experience, and ideally experience in developing creative worship services
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to excel at details, multi-task, and thrive in a deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent people management and team coach skills
  • Able to navigate all aspects of AVL production, message development, design, social media, and marketing 
  • Exemplifying a godly lifestyle and spiritual leadership to the BPC community
  • Self-motivation, a professional demeanor, adaptability to change, and a “whatever-it-takes” attitude
