Job Description:


This position reports to:  Video Director
Internal Title:  Lead Filmmaking Specialist

The mission: Seacoast Church goes all out in our mission to help others “Find God, Grow your Faith, Discover your Purpose and Make a Difference” Our creative department strives to work in line with this mission. We work closely together to create compelling stories of the gospel. The Lead Filmmaker will have the opportunity to write, shoot, and edit these stories that will be shared through out Seacoast and online to share what God is doing all over the world.


Key Responsibilities:


  • CREATIVE GENIUS:
Create visually compelling stories – Lead filmmaker must be able to: concept, script, shoot, edit and produce films entirely on his or her own. (but working together is often encouraged) These videos will be used for weekend services, special events, and other ministries.


  • STORY-TELLER:
Must have a strong sense in storytelling. Knowing how to make a story that will connect with others and how to direct talent to capture what we are trying to say.


  • TEAM PLAYER:
Train others on the team who need help in the area of your strong suite so that we may all grow together as a team.  Encourage teamwork and mutual respect and support. Most importantly be willing to collaborate with others! (we are one big team)


  • LIFE LEARNER:
Continue developing skills and learning new techniques to further your craft.


Job Essentials:
  • Christ Follower (As a religious organization Seacoast Church makes hiring decisions that are aligned to our faith and beliefs)
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant experience producing videos. Please provide a reel of videos and include what part you played in the creation of the examples.
  • Strong Camera and Lighting skills (working with Canon and RED cameras is a plus)
  • Adobe Premier (what we use for our projects)
  • Effective Communication (Taking your work seriously without taking yourself too seriously)
  • Live and Drive Seacoast Values ( Love God. Love People. Make it Better. Have a good attitude)
