Job Description:Position Summary
The Technical Director is responsible for all aspects of the Audio/Visual and Broadcast components of campus. This includes, but is not limited to, Sunday morning activities, Wednesday night Youth events, Thursday night rehearsals, as well as other various events. Provides direction and vision to a team of staff and volunteers, challenging them to achieve a high level of excellence in audio, lighting, and broadcast video. This position is ultimately accountable for using his/her responsibilities to develop others.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate technical support for all environments and events.
• Foster a developmental culture using their responsibilities as a training device.
• Communicates closely with event planners to ensure that all audio/visual/broadcast components are implemented in such a way as to provide a solution that meets the demands, not only of individuals involved, but also the goal(s) of the particular event.
• Ability to lead and develop a team made up of staff and volunteers.
• Be prepared to be a contingency technician on an exception basis, which may include assisting with room configuration, setup and tear down of audio/visual/broadcast equipment in addition to physical configuration (lifting involved) and connecting and interfacing all audio/visual/broadcast equipment.
• Supervise staff in their work assignments and performance development.
• Work within established budgets to achieve the objectives of the department.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education and Experience

• You are a fully committed follower of Jesus Christ.
• You are an active member of TheMET Church (or willing to transfer membership to TheMET Church).
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• 2-5 years of related experience within Audio/Visual industry and/or church live event production.
• Minimum 2 years of experience leading a team.
• Extensive knowledge of operating audio/visual equipment which includes, but is not limited to, audio, lighting, staging, data, video, broadcast, etc.
• Familiar with Audio, Video and Lighting best practices and industry standards.
• Utilize complex computer operations (audio/video/broadcasting hardware).

Physical Demands
Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily ?product/technical nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceives attributes of ?objects and materials. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Work Environment
Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation. Occasional work in high, precarious places, where the possibility of falling exists. Typical schedule is Sunday – Thursday, as well as other times as required by the workload.
