Job Description:
Purpose of Position: 
  • The purpose of the Video Producer is to fulfill the Great Commission and communicate the vision of Joliet First Assembly through video storytelling and photography. This position creates, directs, and manages high quality, inspiring video content in post production and live worship environments. The Video Producer is a vital link between JFA and everyone who engages in our digital expressions.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Use their combination of technical skills and creative abilities to see all video projects through from concept to screening
  • Maintain the brand of JFA Church by creating high quality, compelling video content that reinforces the mission and vision of the church
  • Shoot and edit videos for use in weekend services, special events, promotions, and testimonials
  • Capture footage of church-wide events outreach for the media archive to use for future videos
  • Produce social media clips for event promotion and recap
  • Direct and manage live streaming and live social media events
  • Direct cameras and live switch for all JFA services and events
  • Oversee and schedule photo team and camera operators for Sundays
  • Acquire appropriate releases and copyright licensing for all projects
  • Oversee all elements of production for weekly announcement videos for weekend services, social media, newsletters, website, etc. from concept to completion (including shooting and editing)
  • Invite, train, and equip volunteers to support and assist in creative video production
  • Maintain an organized digital media archive of useable footage, photography and completed projects
  • Keep online media updated to latest videos (message archives, website, etc.)
  • Update, purchase, manage, and organize media production equipment within department budget guidelines
  • Stay current on emerging trends in video production and storytelling


Strengths and Skillsets Required:
  • A heart for telling great stories and a passion for excellence in Christ-centered media.
  • Skilled in all levels of video production (pre-production, production, post-production, camera operation, editing, motion graphics, sound design, color correction, audio leveling & processing, music-bed selection, etc.).
  • High proficiency in Adobe Video Elements CC (Media Encoder, After Effects, Encoder)
  • Proficiency in Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom)
  • High proficiency in Mac environment & Apple products (FCPX, Quicktime)
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Drive, Docs, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Monday.com
  • Proficiency in OBS and other third party streaming/encoding products (restream.io, cast.io, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Living as One live-streaming platform
  • Proficiency in Church Online platform
  • Proficiency in Logic Pro and audio mixing a huge plus but not required
  • Excellent video storytelling, communication, problem solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • High capacity individual who thrives in a “work hard, play hard, high pace” environment and is consistently striving to learn and grow
  • References required
